Paulette D. Graber, 76, of Sheffield, died Friday, December 27, 2024, at Geer Village in Canaan, Conn., with her daughter by her side. She was born November 8, 1948, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, N.Y., the daughter of Francis T. Fetcinko and Pauline (Lenkiewicz) Fetcinko.
Paulette grew up on a family farm with her four brothers, Richard, Fran, Thomas, and Patrick Fetcinko, and her sister Marlene. Paulette graduated from Maine Endwell Senior High School in the class of 1967. She was a beloved friend to all and held her friends and family close to her heart.
Paulette ran away and married her beloved husband Ren Graber in 1969. She was a wonderful artisan; she spent much of her free time designing, stitching, drawing, painting, and gardening. Paulette had a special place in her heart for all children, her home, family, and community, and she dedicated her life to helping and teaching children of all ages. Paulette worked with children at the Southern Berkshire Regional School District and retired in 2016 after 35 years. Paulette was beautiful inside and out, kind, funny, and fearless. Her life was a gift to so many.
Paulette is survived by her daughter Heather P. Graber of Sheffield, Mass., and many many dear friends and family.
A memorial service will be held for Paulette on Saturday, January 4, at the Old Parish Church in Sheffield, at 1 p.m., with a reception to follow held at the family home.
