Patrick White resigns from Stockbridge Select Board, effective June 10

The action follows a heated exchange between members of the board on June 5.

Stockbridge — While Select Board member Patrick White walked off the dais during the group’s June 5 meeting, his return was unclear at that point.

However White confirmed to The Berkshire Edge via email at 2:03 p.m. this afternoon that he has resigned from his post.

During last week’s session, White and Select Board Chair Jamie Minacci endured a heated discussion regarding the election of a new chair as the agenda reflected a reorganization of the group. White maintained that it was his “turn” at the helm, but Minacci pushed to remain in place after entering the seat in September.

The Berkshire Edge reached out to White for comment but has not received a response as of press time.

This is a developing story.
