A memorial service will be held for Patrick on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patrick Fennell on November 22, 2022. He was born on February 25, 1957, the son of William and Mildred (Thibeault) Fennell.

Patrick Fennell working at Paddy’s in Cambridge, Mass.

Patrick was the eldest of seven and was beloved by all. He left high school and immediately joined the army. During his service to our country, he was stationed in Washington state and Germany. This inspired him to move to Somerville where he worked at the family bar, Paddy’s in Cambridge, Mass. Shortly after, he moved and eventually settled down in Great Barrington where he was able to establish his own successful business, “Let Me Do It.”

Patrick was passionate about local government. He was a member of the Great Barrington Republican Committee, he was a member of the planning board, cable board, and played a part in the Select Board’s meetings.

Patrick was an avid writer to the local paper, loved playing board games, and was good for a laugh with practical jokes.

He is survived by his siblings, Joan Stillman, Mary Iandoli, Carol Stec, William Fennell II, Alice Naylor, and Stephen Fennell, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held for Patrick on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations to go to Disabled American Veterans in care of Finnerty and Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230.
