Patricia Brown, 90, of Lee

Mrs. Brown worked for the New England Telephone and Telegraph for many years, and later in the Lee High School cafeteria and the housekeeping department at Meadow Place in Lenox.

Patricia E. Brown, 90, of Lee died Sunday, Dec. 3, at Kindred Laurel Lake.

Patricia was born Sept. 2, 1927, in Springfield, the daughter of Warren A. “Casey” and Madeline Fitzgerald Turner. She moved to Lee as a child and was educated in the Lee schools and graduated from Lee High School in 1946. Pat married Frederick D. Brown Sept. 24, 1949. They enjoyed 66 years of marriage before his death Oct. 7, 2015. Mrs. Brown worked for the New England Telephone and Telegraph for many years, and later in the Lee High School cafeteria and the housekeeping department at Meadow Place in Lenox. Pat was member of the Republican Town Committee and the Lee Grange, and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.

Mrs. Brown leaves behind two sons: Douglas E. Brown Sr. of Cape Coral, Florida, and Thomas W. Brown and wife Dawn LaDuke of Burke, Virginia; one brother: John W. Turner and wife Barbara of Lee; two sisters: Norma J. Plankey of Lee and Helen M. Zink and husband Robert (Wally) of Dalton. In addition, she leaves behind four grandchildren: Patrick, Douglas Jr., Kathleen and Melanie; as well as three great grandchildren: Turner, Caroline and Lillian. Besides her husband, Patricia was predeceased by her sister Marjorie M. Strayer.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Patricia Brown will be held Monday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Lee with Fr. Brian McGrath, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. As per the wishes of the family, there will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in Patricia’s memory to St. Mary’s Church in care of Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
