Patricia Ann Sullivan, 69, of Great Barrington

Patty was a member of the James A. Modolo VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and loved shopping, family outings, the holidays, and all of the activities Fairview Commons had to offer.

Patricia Ann Sullivan passed away peacefully at Fairview Commons in Great Barrington, with her family by her side, after a long illness.

Born in Pittsfield on February 14, 1953, she was the daughter of Thomas and Claire Owens Sullivan.

Patricia, or Patty as she liked to be called, was a 1971 graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School. She worked at K-Mart for a short time, but left due to her illness.

She was a member of the James A. Modolo VFW Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She loved shopping, family outings, and the holidays. She also enjoyed all of the activities Fairview Commons had to offer. She was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church.

Patty is survived by her sister Michele Shimmon and her husband Richard of Great Barrington, and her brothers Patrick (Denny) and his wife Patricia of New Marlborough, Timothy and his wife Jean of Alexandria, Virginia, and Thomas of Pittsfield. She also leaves five nieces and nephews, five great-nieces and -nephews, and many friends whom she cherished.

Services: Calling hours will held on Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 4–7 p.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. William P. Murphy on Monday, April 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, 213 Main St., Great Barrington. The burial will immediately follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 90 Stockbridge Rd., Great Barrington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation or to the Activities Department at Fairview Commons in care of Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
