ORANGE ALERT: The (almost) daily outrage

More Info

The budget seeks to cut more than two dozen [education] programs, including a popular after-school program for many low-income students. It would eliminate higher-education programs, like the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program and subsidized federal Stafford loans.

  1. Jim Balfanz says:

“Something very interesting has happened in the last couple of days. With hints that the long-awaited Mueller Report might finally be issued at any moment, the anti-Trump impeachment rhetoric of rabid Democrat dogs Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff has changed remarkably.

Perhaps after getting insider information that the Mueller Report will be less a hurricane than a butterfly fart, the two (and other democrats) are suddenly striking a much more subdued tone “for the good of the country.” Right. As if either has ever showed interest in what was good for our country.

“Unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path,” said the ever-bipartisan House Speaker through tight-pressed, botoxed lips, “because it divides the country.” And if there’s one thing the Democrats clearly don’t want, it’s to divide the country…except by race, gender, religion, class, sexual orientation, culture, fiscal worth, or citizenship status.

In similarly measured tones (perhaps after quaffing a similarly measured amount of taxpayer-funded booze from Nancy’s drink cart), Adam “When I Hit The Fan” Schiff reluctantly mumbled “A bipartisan process would have to be extra clear and compelling.” As opposed to, presumably, made up out of whole cloth by a cabal of liars looking to overturn our last Presidential election.

Of course, the loud “beep-beep-beep” of high-ranking Democrats trying to back up may be due to more than just leaked information that the Mueller Report is going to be absolutely inconsequential. Because in a recent interview, Trump said that if the Democrats “want to play tough,” then he will declassify documents which will be “devastating” to them.

This may be total BS on Trump’s part (he is, after all, a more efficient manure spreader than you’ll find on even the largest factory farm), or it might be actual truth. But if it is, we don’t think Trump should be using it as a bargaining chip.

Rather, he should go ahead and drop the mother of all Truth Bombs on the Democrats (and deserving Republicans, for that matter) then start rebuilding our government in the smoldering, slightly radioactive crater that used to be the Washington swamp.”

Wow! Awesome. A comment by Jim Balfanz but written by Stilton Jarlsberg, a rather cheesy pseudonym, which is 100% irrelevant to the Orange Alert, but has used up a year’s supply of hyperbole and over-the-top venting.

      1. Jim Balfanz says:

Eat your heart out, George G….. The truth hurts eh? Be sure to take your tennis lessons from the Obama’s tennis coach….
And, Stilton is genuine – unlike the Trump Deranged, who will soon be shriveled up in a corner crying as the REAL truth comes out…

  2. Jim Balfanz says:

“President Donald Trump released his Fiscal Year 2020 budget this week, which proposes $2.7 trillion in spending cuts and would balance the budget in 15 years.

Our nation’s $22 trillion debt is unsustainable. If something isn’t done to correct it soon, the interest on the debt will crowd out true national priorities and could lead to a devastating financial crisis.

The president’s budget would begin to tackle this problem by cutting spending for programs including welfare assistance, environmental protection, and foreign aid. It would also cut more than $1.1 trillion from entitlement programs by returning power to the states.

Together, his budget includes more proposed discretionary and mandatory spending cuts than any president in history.”

Finally a President who is concerned about the financial future of our country. A plan to actually balance the budget. It is GOOD to have a businessman in the White House…

    1. Tom Blauvelt says:

      Jim,
A businessman whose companies filed for bankruptcy at least 4 times? A businessman who has a history of not paying his contractors? A businessman who hires undocumented workers? A businessman who proposes reckless spending increases in his $4.75 trillion dollar budget is not the businessman he pretends to be.

    2. George G says:

Anyone can balance a budget by cutting Medicare, environmental protection, foreign aid and other essential programs drastically enough to counterbalance the revenue losses caused by huge tax cuts for the ultra-rich and an $8 billion vanity wall. That may be what Jim thinks makes Trump “concerned about the financial future of the country.” In my book, it is more like Marie Antoinette saying, “Let them eat cake,”and Nero fiddling while Rome burns.

  3. Jim Balfanz says:

Tom, you might want to read Victor Davis Hanson’s book. You will clearly understand why “that businessman” was elected. Like it or not. Further, you will understand why he will be successful in 2020. He very clearly details the various reasons.

And George C (who is afraid to stand behind his opinions by using his full name), SOMEONE has to begin cutting the spending. The tax cuts for the ultra-rich resulted in every single working, taxpaying American getting their taxes reduced – for the first time in many years.

And, that “vanity wall” as you call it is only part of the President’s solution to resolving our border crisis. He is also spending $$$$$ on the “technical” improvements as well. If spending $8 Billion on it is “vanity,” what the hell was it when Schumer proposed a bill spending $25 Billion? Politics, men. It is called politics. But, the duly elected businessman understands that if we don’t get a handle on our borders our country will be lost. Period.

It is a fact that we are being invaded by people who are not coming here to assimilate into our culture and laws, but to help “Change it.” Change it to what???? Check out Venezuela and you will get a clear picture of what happens to a country that is Socialist.

The cuts are needed. And those who “should be eating cake” are the Illegals, AND other’s unwilling to work, who are draining our financial resources faster than Barack ever hoped to have happen… You can cry all you want, but SOMEONE needs to begin to cut spending with a plan to attain a balanced budget.

Every citizen in America can only spend what they make. It is time for the politicians in DC (an in our state) to begin to implement programs that will get our country on the correct financial path. We simply cannot tax our country to prosperity. Nor, can we spend it to get there. Balance the income with the spending. It is called budgeting.

Finally, and you two “brilliant” men already know this simple fact, but you need to be reminded. The Government could CONFISCATE every single penny from all those “ultra-rich” in America and it would run our government for about 9 months or less. The way the Liberal Progressives have managed to attain the level of spending is that they say they are going after the “Rich,” but the poor and middle class end up being the ones who SUFFER.
