ORANGE ALERT: The (almost) daily outrage

More Info
By Monday, Jul 16, 2018 Viewpoints 8

“Today’s press conference in Helsinki was one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory. The damage inflicted by President Trump’s naiveté, egotism, false equivalence, and sympathy for autocrats is difficult to calculate.

“No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant…Not only did President Trump fail to speak the truth about an adversary; but speaking for America to the world, our president failed to defend all that makes us who we are—a republic of free people dedicated to the cause of liberty at home and abroad. American presidents must be the champions of that cause if it is to succeed.”

— U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona)

Perfect, Ben, your orange alert summed it up brilliantly!

  2. J.W. Clark says:

You would not know the truth if it bite you in the a**.

    1. M Holt says:

      Explain yourself., please….
Your comment makes no sense. You seem to be willing to insult Sen. McCain’s written opinion, accusing him of lying, but you are too afraid to say the word “ass” ? Oh, Bravo!!

  3. Jennifer Clark says:

Bravo, Ben Hillman. Great to read John McCain’s statement in your colorful, impassioned context.

  4. Jim Balfanz says:

Anything written by a Trump hater is so vehemently supported by you Liberal Progressives. It really is funny to read your comments.

But, the best to me and the majority of people in our country is that your candidate lost the election and it is time for you all to finally realize that you’ve been played like the suckers you really are by politicians, the FBI, DOJ, CIA and the media.

Understanding what Rosenstein said during his presser announcing the indictment of the GRU operatives from Russia, it is very CLEAR, that there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians. Look it up and listen again.

They were indicted (but will never be prosecuted) for hacking into the DCCC and Hillary’s, computers.

Yes, Trump Derangement Syndrome is getting worse.

While you are looking up Rosenstein’s indictment statements, you might also want to look up Barack Obama’s statements regarding Russian attempts to influence elections.

    1. Carl Stewart says:

Mr. Balfanz, perhaps if you read the indictment carefully…and if you had even a smidgen of understanding about the function of an indictment in the criminal justice process…you would know that the indictment says nothing about collusion or obstruction of justice or anything about the involvement of Donald Trump or his campaign. An indictment absolves no one of criminal activity; its purpose is to charge a person (or persons or entities) with a felony and nothing more than that. In fact, if after seeing Trump’s abject fawning before Vlad Putin yesterday you still believe that Trump is hiding nothing, it is you who has a derangement syndrome.

      1. Jim Balfanz says:

I understand….. I REALLY understand TDS. I’ve been watching and listening to it since November 7, 2016. The DEEP STATE has caused our country to “go off the rails.” They’ve been putting not only their “finger on the scales of justice, but in fact have been standing on it. You can charge anyone, especially knowing that you have absolutely zero intention of proceeding with prosecution – as proved by the simple fact that after indicting the GRU operatives, they turned the case over to a governmental agency that has NEVER prosecuted anyone… Stay tuned as they say.

      2. Jim Balfanz says:

I waited for our President to clarify his comments. He very clearly stated that he made a mistake by saying “would,” instead of “wouldn’t”…. Certainly changes the entire answer doesn’t it?
The only perfect person who never made a mistake was nailed to a cross….
TDS is alive and well in the Berkshires. LOL
