Ofilia Bleau, 85, of Housatonic died Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington. Ofilia was born Jan. 13, 1935, in Mission, Texas, daughter of Francisco and Antonia Torres. She worked for many years at the former Great Barrington Healthcare as a supervisor in the dietary department. She was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church in Great Barrington, loved being outside in nature and was an avid gardener.
Ofilia is survived by five sons: Ronnie (Christine) of Becket, Daniel (Martha) Oklahoma City Oklahoma, Donald of Connecticut, Robert (Greg) of Worcester, and Tony (Karen) of Great Barrington; one daughter: Rebecca (Joe) of Great Barrington; four brothers: Juan, Tony, Jesus and Lupe Torres; nine grandchildren: Lindsay, Shannon, Jonathan, Krystal, Don Jr., Tony Jr., Matt, Tasha and Jessica; and seven great-grandchildren: Justis, Jenna, John Jr., Jules, Jordan, Jaiden and Maverick. Ofilia was predeceased by husband Ronald D. Bleau Sr.; brothers Frank, Jose, Pedro and Vicente Torres; and sister Olidia Perez.
A funeral Mass for Ofilia Bleau will be held Tuesday, March 17, at 10 a.m. with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Saint Peter’s Church in Great Barrington with Rev. William P. Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Saint Bridget’s Cemetery in Housatonic. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 17, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
