NICK DILLER: November 2025 weather

Looking at the month, cloudy and cool. There were only two completely fair days.

Nothing like a grilled turkey for Thanksgiving. And nothing like a fair-weather Thanksgiving day to cook it out on my kitchen porch. It’s not often we have nice days like that this time of year. This Thanksgiving the weather was slightly colder with light winds. The entire month was slightly cooler and drier than normal. Which made yard cleanup in the first part of the month much easier. Rainfall was about three-quarters of an inch less than this century’s average, which brought our running total to about the same as the very dry fall of 2024.

But looking at the month, there were only two completely fair days. The others were smothered in clouds, thanks to the lake effect bringing in — and sometimes precipitation blowing in — from Lake Ontario and sometimes Lake Erie.

But while South Berkshire picked up only a scant amount of snow, in North County amounts was more. Meteorologists  tell me this is normal for this time of year.

So now it’s the beginning of December and it’s snowing. It makes me think of a white Christmas. I have my fingers crossed … Have a wonderful month.
