Norma Laurenti Spaulding, 90, a former longtime resident of Great Barrington, passed away April 18, 2018, at Side by Side Assisted Living in Pittsfield.
Born March 13, 1928, in Lee, she was the daughter of the late Carlo and Adele Pellegrini Laurenti. Norma was primarily a homemaker. She was a hostess at the former Oakwood Inn and waitressed for several years at the former Cove and Town House restaurants in Great Barrington. Norma was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Thursday Morning Club and the First Congregational Church of Great Barrington. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, needlepoint and occasional trips to Connecticut casinos.
She is survived by her son William Spaulding of Pittsfield, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Donald F. Spaulding, on March 16, 1993. The couple was married Nov. 6, 1947, in Lee. She was also predeceased by her son John F. Spaulding on July 5, 1980; her brother Mario; and sisters Angie, Annette Brighenti, Irma Clark and Inez Eisenberg.
