Nick Diller weather summary: October 2020, warm and dry

The rain came in clusters and finished the month an inch below average and with the season’s first measurable snow.

The Flaming Fall Revue is over for another year. Although, the colors in the Berkshires were late in coming, I thought they were nice and in many locations spectacular. We were especially blessed with wonderful colors in my own neighborhood, surrounding the Southern Berkshire Court House at Dewey Park.

This October, like last year, turned out to be very warm, with a mean temperature of 52, the seventh warmest since 1965. Looking closely, you will notice how warm the low readings were. In past years low temps in the teens at my location were quite common.

Checking the precipitation, it was a dry October.
