Nick Diller weather summary: June 2019 cool and dry

June’s average temperature ended up 1 degree below average and that made it the seventh coolest.

Great Barrington — Cool and dry would best describe June’s weather.

Rainfall was nearly 2 inches below the now-55-year average, the second straight month of below average. June finished the ninth driest. The 2.68 inches brought our running total for the year to 22.9 inches.

June’s average temperature ended up 1 degree below average and that made it the seventh coolest. On 12 days I recorded 80 or better, with the highest of 88 on the 28th. But, no 90-degree days. Normally June produces between two and three. Humidity was moderate with dew points of above 60 on 18 of the days and above 70 twice.

All in all, no complaints about June.

So now it’s July. My air conditioners are ready.
