Nick Diller weather summary: An average May 2019

Believe it or not, this year’s May rainfall was a quarter of an inch below average, despite 19 days of measurable rain.

The 54-year mean temperature is 57. May 2019 matched that—the daily highs a little cooler and nighttime lows not quite so.

Let’s move on to precipitation. Believe it or not, this year’s May rainfall was a quarter of an inch below average, despite 19 days of measurable rain. But many were only a few hundredths of an inch.

We had only five completely fair days. I’m hoping for more in June.
