NICK DILLER: 60 years of Thanksgiving weather

How did yesterday compare to Thanksgivings past?

Yesterday was a very nice day as far as late November goes, featuring an average temperature and sky condition.

An average Thanksgiving Day features a high temp of 43 and a low of 28 with about a third of an inch of rain and maybe a fraction of snow.

Have we had snow on Thanksgiving? YES! In 1971, I recorded 14″. Have we had warm Thanksgivings?  YES! In the years of 1966, 1968 and 2004, the holiday
featured temperatures of 60 and above. Have we experienced an extremely cold Thanksgiving Day?  YES! In 2018, we had a record cold high temperature and low temperature, coupled with strong northwest winds.

Attached is my complete record of 60 Thanksgiving days. And while you examine it, I wish you a joyous holiday season and I hope you had a wonderful day with family and friends. And had a safe trip home.
