News Briefs: GB construction, parking update

Work will include milling and removal of existing pavement, and installation base and top courses of pavement. Portions of the streets may be closed to traffic temporarily, with police officers directing traffic when necessary.

Downtown construction update: Railroad Street parking lot to close

Great Barrington — Paving operations that began on downtown side streets during the week of Monday, June 17, includes Railroad Street and the upper parking lot as well as Elm, Bridge, Church and School streets.

Beginning Wednesday, June 19., until Friday, June 21, the Taconic parking lot atop Railroad Street will be closed for paving operations.

Work will begin daily at 6 a.m. There may also be overnight paving operations beginning at midnight Thursday, June 20, and Friday, June 21.
