News Brief: Otis, Becket and Blandford daytime bridge repair operations to take place on I-90 eastbound, westbound

Otis, Becket and Blandford daytime bridge repair operations to take place on I-90 eastbound, westbound

Boston — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced that crews will be conducting bridge construction operations in various locations on Interstate 90 eastbound and westbound in Otis, Becket and Blandford. The work will be conducted on Monday, Nov. 23, and on Tuesday, Nov. 24, during the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. At all times, travel will be maintained on I-90 through the work zones.

The locations and schedules for lane closures for the work are as follows.

Otis

Bridge-repair operations will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound at Mile Marker 23 on Monday, Nov. 23, and on Tuesday, Nov. 24, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. The work will require intermittent lane closures.

Becket

Bridge-repair operations will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound at Mile Marker 15.9 on Monday, Nov. 23, and on Tuesday, Nov. 24, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. The work will require intermittent lane closures.

Blandford

Shoulder-paving operations will be conducted on I-90 eastbound at Mile Marker 26.2 on Monday, Nov. 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The work will require intermittent lane closures.

Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed and use caution. All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency.

  • Visit mass511.com, a website that provides real-time traffic and incident advisory information as well as access to traffic cameras, and allows users to subscribe to text and email alerts for traffic conditions;

  • Download MassDOT’s GoTime mobile app and view real-time traffic conditions before setting out on the road.
