News Brief: Mill River Post Office relocates

Post office box customers will continue to use their existing Mill River addresses, including Mill River’s ZIP code.

Mill River Post Office relocates to Southfield Post Office

Mill River — Postal officials have announced a change of address for the Mill River Post Office, formerly located at the Mill River General Store, 8 Mill River Great Barrington Road.

Mill River customers are advised that, as of Feb. 1, all post office box services and retail services such as shipping, stamps and postal products have relocated to the Southfield Post Office, 224 Norfolk Road in Southfield, until further notice. The Southfield Post Office will have post office box customers’ mail and packages available for pickup service at the counter.

Post office box customers will continue to use their existing Mill River addresses, including Mill River’s ZIP code of 01244. Customers are asked to be prepared to show identification to obtain their mail.

Hours for postal services and mail pickup at the Southfield Post Office are 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday; and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Postal officials indicate that there is no further action required by Mill River customers at this time.
