NEWS BRIEF: Great Barrington woman re-arrested for heroin possession

Alexandra T. Brenner, 29, is charged with possession of a Class A Substance with Intent to Distribute.

Great Barrington — Chief William Walsh reports that the Great Barrington Police Department arrested a woman today for drug possession who was out on bail for the same offense and had an active arrest warrant.

Alexandra T. Brenner, 29, of Great Barrington is charged with possession of a Class A Substance with the Intent to Distribute.

On Friday, July 22 at 11 a.m., Officer Samuel Stolzar located Brenner driving on Main Street. He conducted a motor vehicle stop, as Brenner had an active arrest warrant for failing to appear in Pittsfield District Court yesterday for a trial stemming from an arrest in March of 2015 where she was arrested for possession of heroin.

Police also located 29 bags of heroin in Brenner’s vehicle and in her possession. She was arrested.

Brenner was transported to Southern Berkshire District Court and is being held without bail. She is set to be arraigned at Southern Berkshire District Court on Monday, July 25.
