New York state resident charged with drunk driving in rotary incident

Hyde Park, N.Y.-resident Kevin Skelly has been charged with operating under the influence and a marked lanes violation after an incident at the new traffic circle on Saturday, Nov. 26. According to Police Chief Paul Storti, this is Skelly's second OUI offense.

Great Barrington — Kevin Skelly of Hyde Park, N.Y., has been charged with operating under the influence (OUI) and a marked lanes violation after an incident at the town’s traffic circle on South Main Street (U.S. Route 7) on Saturday, November 26.

According to Police Chief Paul Storti, Skelly was the lone driver in the incident, in which he drove through and over the roundabout with his motor vehicle. He did not sustain any injuries in the incident and he was released shortly after he was booked.

According to Chief Storti, the charge is Skelly’s second OUI offense and he is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, December 5 in Southern Berkshire District Court.
