National Association of Social Workers, Massachusetts Chapter PACE endorses Leigh Davis for 3rd Berkshire District seat

“We are confident that Leigh Davis will bring her lived experience and commitment to the community to the State House, making her an effective and equity-minded leader for all people in the 3rd Berkshire District,” said Kim Hokanson, NASW-MA PACE chair.

Berkshire County — The National Association of Social Workers, Massachusetts Chapter (NASW-MA) Political Action for Candidate Election (PACE) committee has endorsed Leigh Davis in her campaign for the 3rd Berkshire District seat in the state’s House of Representatives.

“We are confident that Leigh Davis will bring her lived experience and commitment to the community to the State House, making her an effective and equity-minded leader for all people in the 3rd Berkshire District,” said Kim Hokanson, NASW-MA PACE chair. “We are proud to endorse her for the Massachusetts House of Representatives.”

PACE believes that Leigh Davis will be an effective leader in the State House to bring creative solutions to problems facing the county. “Leigh is an enthusiastic candidate who uses her lived experience as a single mom and a biracial individual to shape her advocacy efforts,” NASW-MA PACE states in their press release. “In her legislative advocacy, she focuses on both the details and big picture aspects of the policy in question, she is open to looking at issues through differing perspectives, and she intends to respond to the needs of the whole community she serves, not select constituencies. NASW-MA PACE is proud to endorse her for the 3rd Berkshire House of Representatives.”

PACE is the nonpartisan political arm of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. As a political action committee, NASW-MA PACE endorses and financially contributes to candidates at the local and state levels who support the mission and values of the social work profession and whose policy priorities align with NASW-MA’s legislative agenda.

The primary election will take place on Tuesday, September 3, and the general election is on Tuesday, November 5. Voters can find their polling locations here.
