Nannette Dunn, 96, of Lenox

Nan was employed by Smith Paper Co. during the World War II years and later by SPINC Federal Credit Union for over 25 years.

Nannette “Nan” Dunn, 96, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, July 16, at KimballFarms NCC. For 57 years she was the beloved wife of William J. “Dunnie” Dunn who died in 2002.

Nan was a lifelong resident of Lee, and graduated from Lee High School in 1938 and Becker Junior College in 1940. Nan was employed by Smith Paper Co. during the World War II years and later by SPINC Federal Credit Union for over 25 years. After retirement, Nan and Dunnie enjoyed travel and winters in Florida.

She was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Church, a member of the St. Mary/St. Martha Sodality, an original member and weekly attendee of the Adoration Society and member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Red Hats.

Nan loved time spent with family and friends; Sunday dinners were special events. Everyone liked her sense of humor. Nan’s favorite activity was ballroom dancing, which she and Dunnie enjoyed into their 80s in the Berkshires and Florida. Her hobbies were bowling, reading, crossword puzzles and playing cards.

Besides Dunnie, Nan was predeceased by her son, Michael, in 2013.

She is survived by two daughters: Susan (Raymond) of Granby, Connecticut, and Sally of Brookline; five grandchildren: Kimberly (Mark) of Maine, Meghan (Rob) of Connecticut, and William, Blake and Brittanie of Texas; three great-grandchildren: Jake, Luke and Gavin; her former daughters-in-law: Cyndi and Christi of Texas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Nan was fortunate to enjoy the companionship of many good friends and neighbors throughout her life. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the wonderful staff at Kimball Farms LEP and NCC for the exceptional care and compassionate support.

Calling hours are Thursday, July 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Kelly Funeral Home in Lee. A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Nannette Dunn will be held Friday, July 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Lenox. Those wishing may make donations in Nan’s memory to St. Mary’s Church or the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. A memorial service for Lynn will be held on Wednesday, June 18, at 11 a.m., at the Christian Assembly in Pittsfield. There will be no calling hours, and burial will be private.

Marie Weatherhead, 90, of Lenox

A memorial service is planned at Roche Funeral Home in Lenox on Saturday, June 28, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at Mazzeo's Ristorante in Pittsfield.
