Nancy Collins, 77, of Great Barrington

Nancy was primarily a homemaker. She worked as a bookkeeper at Kmart in Great Barrington for over 20 years.

Nancy L. Collins, 77, passed away April 14, 2018, at Fairview Commons in Great Barrington.

Born Nov. 3, 1940, she was the daughter of the late William and Juliana Reilly Besancon. A lifelong resident of Berkshire County, she graduated from Lee High School. Nancy married her late husband, Edward Collins, in 1960. They spent 34 loving years together before his passing in 1994. Together they raised two sons as an Air Force family: Edward and James Collins. Along with her sons, she leaves her adored grandchildren Andrew, Nicole and Cameron Collins. Nancy also leaves her sister Judy Race and her brother William Besancon.

Nancy was primarily a homemaker. She worked as a bookkeeper at Kmart in Great Barrington for over 20 years. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed visiting the casinos.

The family has requested that all services be private. Nancy will be buried at the West Stockbridge Cemetery at the family’s convenience. Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. To send remembrances to the family, go to http://www.finnertyandstevens.com.

Funeral Mass for Robert F. "Bob" Keefner will be held on Friday, May 23, at 10 a.m., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Saint Peter’s Church in Great Barrington with Reverend William P. Murphy Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
