Nancy B. Hurley, 57, of Lenox, died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pawtucket, R.I., on October 18, 1967, the daughter of Robert Henry and Mary E. Stowell Bray, she was a 1985 graduate of Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, Mass.
Nancy loved Marthaās Vineyard and lived there for two years before being hired by Hills store headquarters in Canton, Mass., in 1987.

Nancy was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She and her husband Frederick L. Hurley were married May 11, 1991. From 1993, they lived in Wrentham, Mass., and Sparta, N.J., before settling down in Lenox in 2003. Nancy was involved in all aspects of her sonsā lives, including supporting their many sports endeavors. She was active in Lee youth and high school football, where she never missed an opportunity to head up the grill at home games. She was an avid New England Patriots fan, loved music and sailing, and cherished her many friends, both in the Berkshires and Attleboro. She was also a member of her beloved Briggs Beach in Little Compton, R.I.
Nancy was always making new friends everywhere she went. If one was lucky enough to meet her, even briefly, she was quick to leave a lasting impact and a story to tell. She had an uncanny ability to make anything fun and could light up the room with her personality (but her distinct style also helped).
Besides her husband and mother, Nancy is survived by her three sons, Ryan B. Hurley, Jon F. Hurley (Adrienne Harris Fried), and Michael R. Hurley (Jade Alward), and one brother, Steven Bray and his wife Katherine.
Calling hours for Mrs. Nancy Hurley will be Wednesday, October 30, from 4 to 6 p.m., with a remembrance and prayer service at 6 p.m. at the Roche Funeral Home in Lenox. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mass General Hospital in appreciation of their wonderful care of Nancy. To share memories and stories, please visit the funeral home’s website.
