Mildred deVos, 93, of Clifton Park, N.Y.

The Funeral for Mildred deVos will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Grace Congregational Church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Calling hours will be held in the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Church Service.

Mildred deVos, 93, of Clifton Park, N.Y., died peacefully on Thursday, March 27, at Loudonville Assisted Living in Albany, N.Y. where she had resided for the past few months after declining health. She was born on January 27, 1932, in Ridgewood, N.Y., to the late Garrett and Clara Miedma Terpstra. She attended Ridgewood High School and obtained her associate’s degree from Berkshire Community College in 1992.

Mildred worked as a home health aide for the VNA and was also an aide at the Lee Elementary School before retiring. Before that she was a farmer’s wife, working side by side with her Husband William (Wiebe) deVos. They were married in New Jersey on April 9, 1955. He predeceased her on July 22, 1985.

Mildred was an active member of Grace Congregational Church. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, and reading, as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mildred is survived by her children: Douglas J. deVos of East Chatham, N.Y.; Lois M. Marks (Robert) of Clifton Park, N.Y.; and William T. deVos (Jennifer) of Springfield, Mass. She is also survived by nine grandchildren—Hope, Jennifer, Corey, Chelsea, Kendra, Devin, Michaela, Nathaniel, and William— and three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Besides her husband, Mildred was predeceased by her daughter Diane Lynne deVos and her nine brothers.

The family would like to thank Loudonville Enhanced Assisted Living and staff for their wonderful care of Mildred.

The Funeral for Mildred deVos will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Grace Congregational Church, 1055 William Street, Pittsfield, MA. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Calling hours will be held in the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Church Service. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Mildred’s memory may be made to Grace Congregational Church in care of the Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
