Matthew Alexander North, 22, of Pittsfield

A liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 11 a.m., at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Lenox Dale. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service beginning at 10 a.m.

Matthew Alexander North, 22, of Pittsfield died at home after a brief illness. Born on July 27, 2001, in Pittsfield, he was the son of Christopher and Brenda North. He attended Pittsfield High School, graduating in 2019.

Matthew was formerly employed at Stop & Shop in the Dairy Department. He enjoyed photography, reading, music, and running. Matthew was a kind soul and would help anyone in need.

Besides his parents, Christopher and Brenda North of Pittsfield, Matthew is survived by his brother Lucas A. North of Pittsfield; his aunt and godmother Melissa Guerin; his godfather Richard Piretti; his aunt Lisa Wright, her fiancé Scott Miller, and her daughters, Alana and Alyse; his paternal grandfather Alan North; and his maternal grandmother Karen Guerin.

Matthew is predeceased by his maternal grandfather Theodore Guerin and paternal grandmother Linda North.

A liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 11 a.m., at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Lenox Dale. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Matthew’s memory may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
