Marybeth Mitts has considerably more relevant experience to be on the Lenox Select Board than her opponent

In short, Marybeth Mitts has dedicated decades of her life—always 24/seven—to benefit the Town of Lenox, and she understands not only its multiple current facets but the intricacies of our future needs as well.

To the editor:

I am writing in support of the reelection of Marybeth Mitts to the Lenox Select Board. Marybeth has considerably more relevant experience than her opponent.

She has served on the Select Board since 2019. As a Select Board member, she set the budget and overall policy for the town. She was involved with all Town Hall departments, including the Lenox Cultural District, the Affordable Housing Trust and Committee, the Lenox Library, the Lenox Cultural Council, the Master Plan Commission, the Hazard Mitigation and Charter Review Commission, and many others.

Before she was elected to the Select Board, Marybeth served on Lenox’s School Committee for nine years and on the Affordable Housing Trust—where she continues to serve—for 11 years. Since she was elected to the Select Board, she has also served on the Master Plan Review Commission, which studies the current town master plan and considers population trends, economic outlook, existing housing, infrastructure, schools, and projected development to recommend a new master plan to guide the town over the next 10 to 20 years.

In contrast, Marybeth’s opponent, per his own LinkedIn page, lists his skills as stage management, theater, performing arts, and music. He has served only seven months on two Lenox boards, he has only lived in Lenox for five years, and he works remotely full time for a New York headhunter company.

In short, Marybeth Mitts has dedicated decades of her life—always 24/seven—to benefit the Town of Lenox, and she understands not only its multiple current facets but the intricacies of our future needs as well.

Jamie Minacci has Stockbridge in her bones — please re-elect her to the Select Board

Jamie Minacci understands that a strong Stockbridge adds to the strength of the Berkshires.

Why I will not be voting for Jamie Minacci for Stockbridge Select Board

It has become evident to me that the person I so strongly supported in her first election has acted in many ways contrary to how I had thought she would.
