Mary Josephine “MarMar” Flynn, 85, of Lenox passed away on July 6, with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, John R. “Bud” Flynn, in 2006.
Mary is survived by her three children: Kathleen Carter (James) of Bryan, Texas; John “JR” Flynn and Patricia Flynn Quinn (Edward) of Lenox; three beloved grandchildren: Jonathan Carter, Melissa Jefferson (Brett) of Texas and Stephen Quinn of Lenox; and her great-granddaughter Makenzie Jefferson. Mary is also survived by her sister- and brother-in-law Carol and Frank Consolati, as well as five nephews.
Mary had a smile that would light up a room, a quick wit and a heart of gold. Above all else, she loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister-in-law and friend to many. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services for Mary Flynn will be held Wednesday, July 12, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church in Lenox with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated by Monsignor John Bonzagni. Burial will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery. As per the wishes of the family, there will be no visiting hours.
