Mark P. Moriarty, 66, of Lanesborough, died peacefully Thursday morning, May 30 at Berkshire Medical Center, with his loving daughters by his side. He was born on February 6, 1958, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to the late Joseph and Patricia Finn Moriarty. Mark attended Pittsfield High School and was a 1976 graduate. After high school, he attended Berkshire Community College where he obtained his associate degree.

Mark was a self-employed contractor, owning and operating Moriarty Lawn & Landscaping.
Mr. Moriarty married Holly Townsend on June 21, 1985, in Pittsfield. She pre-deceased him on March 5, 2014.
Mark enjoyed his lifelong passion of riding motorcycles, spending time with his family, and he loved being a farmer and taking care of his animals.
He is survived by his two daughters, Krista L. Nolan (Nicholas) of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Amanda R. Moriarty (David) of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Mia and Hayden; his siblings, Elizabeth Clourat, Thomas Moriarty, Paul Moriarty, Timothy Moriarty, Maureen Laughnane, and William Moriarty; and his good friends Patricia Brown and Bill W., whom he was friends with for over 40 years.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Mark P. Moriarty will be Thursday evening, June 6, 2024, at 6 p.m., at the Roche Funeral Home in Lenox, with Monsignor John Bonzagni officiating. Calling hours will precede the memorial service, from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Mark’s memory may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
