Marjorie Blair, 90, of Stockbridge

While living in Stockbridge, Marjorie Blair joined the Norman Rockwell Museum staff in 1972 as a guide.

Marjorie Blair was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on July 15, 1926. She graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School and attended Syracuse University, majoring in illustration. While living in Stockbridge, she joined the Norman Rockwell Museum staff in 1972 as a guide. She also spent 13 years on the staff at Talbot’s. She owned a kitchen store for nine years. She is survived by her three children: Bruce, Cynthia and Kirk Blair.

Funeral services for Marjorie Blair will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 4, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Stockbridge. Expressions of sympathy in Marjorie’s memory may be made to the Stockbridge Library in care of BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. The funeral will take place at Dewey Hall in Sheffield on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 11 a.m., followed immediately by internment at Ahavath Sholom Cemetery in Great Barrington. A livestream of the funeral service will be available.

A graveside service will be scheduled in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Beacon Center in Madison, Wis., where his niece Sara dedicated her time to supporting the unhoused; the Sara Marie White Memorial Epilepsy Scholarship; or the restoration of the Lenox Meeting house.
