Marilyn Jenee Phillips, 95, of Colebrook, N.H.

Marilyn Jenee Phillips of Colebrook, NH passed away on August 9, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., on May 24, 1929, to Lillian Fray and Howard Wright, and named Mary Frances Fray, she was taken in and raised by Louise (Goodhue) and Kent Kilburn of Manhattan, N.Y., on June 7, 1929.

Marilyn grew up in the Upper West Side and attended public schools. After her graduation, she moved to the Berkshires and worked at various inns and restaurants. Marilyn met and married Leon J. Eichstedt, and together they built a home in Sheffield and raised five children. In 1982, she remarried to Francis M. Phillips of Dalton, and after their retirement, they moved to Colebrook, N.H.

Marilyn, who was known and adored by so many friends, loved dancing, entertaining, and tag sales.

Marilyn leaves behind her children; Leon Eichstedt Jr., Noreen Johnson, Bruce Eichstedt, and Deidre (John) Scapin. She also leaves her grandchildren: Thomas (Teresa) Eichstedt of Mill River; Timothy Bush of Oceanside, Calif.; Sean (Rebecca) Thomas of Lee; Jenee (Ronnie) Hepp of Torrington, Conn.; Leon (Maritess) Eichstedt III of Winsted, Conn.; Stephen (Anna) Eichstedt of New Hartford, Conn.; Jamie Eichstedt of Pittsfield; Eric Eichstedt of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Aaron Scapin of Collinsville, Conn.; Michael (Tara) Scapin of Sandisfield; Jon (Stacy) Scapin of Pittsfield; Krysten (Matthew) Bell of Winchester, Conn.; and Lauren (Juan) Scapin Reyes of Manhattan, N.Y. Marilyn was predeceased by her daughter Andrea Eichstedt and granddaughter Yvonne Eichstedt. She also leaves behind 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Francis Thomas Duke Jr., 82, of Lenox

The funeral for Mr. Francis T. Duke will be held on Friday, May 16, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Church in Lenox, with Rev. Michael Tuck officiating. Burial will be private in Corashire Cemetery in Monterey. There will be no calling hours.

Jeffrey E. van Lingen, 62, of Lenox

There will be a service held on Wednesday, May 14, beginning at 11 a.m., at the Roche Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 13, from 4 to 7 p.m.

U Ba Win, 78, of Great Barrington

A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 26, at the Daniel Arts Center at Bard College at Simon's Rock.
