Margaret and Joseph Pothul

She married Joseph Pothul May 29, 1941, and they enjoyed 70 years of marriage together. Initially they purchased a large tract of land off Lake Avenue in Great Barrington and built their family home, the first on Pothul Drive. They later developed the land, and today more than a dozen homes grace that same street. Margaret was primarily a homemaker, proudly raising her four children. She also enjoyed music, dancing, cooking and crocheting. She held her beloved friendships close to her heart and loved story telling with those friends. Margaret and Joe traveled extensively throughout Italy during their retirement and enjoyed wintering in Florida.

Margaret is survived by her four children: Deanna Tennison and Ronald Pothul both of Florida, Anthony Pothul of North Carolina and Joseph Pothul of Great Barrington; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Pothul Oct. 2, 2012.
