Man shot to death on Edward Avenue in Pittsfield

At this time the Pittsfield Police Department does not believe that there is a threat to the general public. Anyone who may have information about this incident is asked to contact the Pittsfield Police Department Detective Bureau at 413-448-9705.

Pittsfield — The Pittsfield Police Department reports that on Sunday January 20 2018 at approximately 2:13 a.m., members of the Pittsfield Police Department responded to an outside location on Edward Avenue for a report of a possible gunshot victim. Upon their arrival, they discovered an adult male who appeared to have sustained at least one gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead on the scene. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
