Pittsfield — George Bliss, 39, of 341 West Street, was arraigned on Thursday, April 24 in Central Berkshire District Court in relation to multiple break-ins and attempted break-ins for at the TD Bank inside and outside ATM on 99 West Street.
According to Berkshire District Attorney’s Office Chief of Operations Julia Sabourin, Bliss has been charged with the following:
Breaking Into Bank Depository;
Larceny Under $1,200;
Vandalize Property;
Three counts of attempt to Break Into Bank Depository;
Three counts of attempted Larceny;
Three counts of vandalizing property.
Sabourin wrote that Bliss broke-in and attempted to break-into the ATM on February 15, March 1, March 4, April 1, and April 11.
Bliss was observed on bank security cameras using various instruments to break in including a knife, crowbar, and screwdriver. The damages to the ATMs was $14,733.82. Bliss obtained at least $720 in the break-ins.
