Lynda Jean Gunn

Lynda was born Dec. 4, 1955, in Pittsfield, daughter of David L. Gunn Jr. and Velma (Preston) Gunn. Lynda posed for Norman Rockwell’s picture “The Problem We All Live With” when she was 8 years old. She was a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School’s class of 1973 where she was a cheerleader and played in the band. She loved and enjoyed the arts, especially ballet, in which she danced. After high school Lynda proudly served her country with the U.S. Air Force where she assisted in the medical program and resided in Texas. While in Texas Lynda loved horses and even participated in rodeos as a calf roper. Lynda Gunn had an amazing personality and a great sense of humor. She loved to laugh and was very close with her daughter, whom she adored greatly.

Lynda leaves behind her daughter, Arlyn Traylor and boyfriend Jason Perez; her aunt Barbara and her cousins Leslie and Jeannie from D.C. and Sissy from West Stockbridge; her younger cousin Joseph (son of Jeannie) and children Makai and Sadie; her uncle Wray Gunn Sr. and Aunt Cora Gunn; cousins Wray (Puggie) Gunn Jr. and wife Laurie; and Wayne Gunn and his wife Louise Posnick. Lynda also leaves behind a slew of cousins and friends. She also leaves her best friend of 30-plus years: Marjorie Miller of Virginia. In addition to her parents, Lynda was predeceased by her uncle St. Claire Gunn, aunt Dolores Gunn, cousins Elaine and Clarence Gunn, and Chic Astore.
