Lucy Ann Wuori Britton, 62, of Mill River died peacefully Wednesday, June 17, 2020, surrounded by her family at Berkshire Medical Center after a strong-fought battle with cancer.
Lucy was widely known and loved in the health care, emergency services and emergency preparedness communities throughout Western Massachusetts. She was involved in numerous groups that include the Josh Billings race committee, Berkshire County Community Response Team and Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
Lucy leaves behind her loving husband of 37 years, Michael Britton, daughter Laurie Britton and fiancé Sean Whitney, daughter Janet Britton, and her pets Dudley and Zee. She also leaves behind her half sister Janet Wuori of Arizona; and sisters-in-law Sheila Bouquet, Barbara Britton, Pat Boulais and Ruth Wuori. She also leaves nephew Bob Bouquet.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 25, 2020, from 3 to 7 p.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOMEÂ in Great Barrington. A private church ceremony will be held for the family.
