Lorraine O. Pease, 93, of Lenox died Saturday morning at Mount Carmel Care Center, where she had resided for a short time.
Born on June 6, 1928 in Lee, Massachusetts, to the late Elliot and Elsie White Pease, she attended Lee Public Schools and was a 1946 graduate of Lee High School. After high school, Lorraine went to Springfield College and graduated with her nursing degree.
She worked as a Registered Nurse at BMC and Manatee Memorial in Bradenton.
Lorraine enjoyed reading, swimming, and taking daily walks.
Ms. Pease is survived by her nephew, Raymond F. Kirby, Jr. (Diana) of Lenox; great-niece Meredith Kirby O’Brien (Daniel); great-nephew Eric R. Kirby (Meghan); and four great-great nephews, Cole, Benjamin, Shane, and William.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Shirley Pease Kirby and her brother-in-law, Raymond F. Kirby.
There will be no calling hours. A private graveside service was held in Fairmount Cemetery in Lee. Memorial donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
