Egremont — Contrary to my childhood memories, Spring doesn’t always start on March 21st. This year, the Vernal Equinox actually starts (on the east coast anyway) around midnight on Sunday, March 20th — 12:30 a.m. But on Saturday, March 19, millions of people, businesses, and landmarks around the world — including the Empire State Building! — will celebrate Earth Hour by turning out the lights precisely at 8:30 p.m. local time, for an hour.
So put on your dancing shoes. With an almost full moon up above, and lights out, this should make for a great party night for Pan and the Spring fairies.
“A little madness in the Spring,
Is wholesome even for the King…”
Thank you Emily Dickinson!
