Light a candle for Democracy

The world is watching. And so are our children. And that matters. A million candles for Democracy. We can do this.

Truth matters. Integrity matters. What we say matters. How we treat one another matters.

How we share and debate ideas matters. How we treat our institutions matters. How we treat our democracy matters.

Leadership matters.

The world is watching. And so are our children. And that matters.

It took humanity tens of thousands of years to strike that match that illuminated the world. Democracy is precious. An inheritance to cherish. Let’s celebrate our good fortune as Americans.

Let’s join together and Light a Candle for Democracy.

When: Tuesday, January 19th at 9 p.m. EST.
Where: Light a candle and stand at your front door, beside a window facing the street, on a sidewalk, at your local town or city hall. Organize your friends, families, neighbors, community. Let’s celebrate Democracy together!
What: Light a candle or flip on a flashlight to show your love and respect for something so dear, so critical to human advancement, yet so fragile — Democracy.

A million candles for Democracy. We can do this.

Truth Matters. Integrity Matters. Democracy Matters.
