Lee Board of Health acted prudently to review hazards of PCB dump

This is not about stopping the PCB dump; it is about ensuring the safety.

To the editor:

As you may know, the Lee Board of Health has decided formally to review the hazardous potential to its citizens’ health and safety caused by the dump proposed to store the waste produced by GE in Pittsfield during the last century. I applaud the Board for taking this step, and the Lee Selectboard for supporting them; I expect the other boards of the Tri-Town Board of Health to stand behind the Lee Board as well.

This is not about stopping the dump; it is about ensuring the safety of the people who live in Lee. This is the job of the Lee Board of Health.
