Lawrence Martin, 81, of Egremont

Dee proudly served in the U.S. Army and was the owner of the former Taconic Builders Supply in Great Barrington.

Lawrence D. Martin (Dee), 81, of Egremont died Friday, April 3, 2020, at Berkshire Medical Center.

Dee was born May 16, 1938, in New Haven Connecticut, the only child of Lawrence and Ellen Martin. Dee attended St. George’s School in Newport, Rhode Island, and Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. Dee proudly served in the U.S. Army and was the owner of the former Taconic Builders Supply in Great Barrington.

Dee will be remembered as a generous and fair-minded businessman, and a kind and loving family man. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Fairview Hospital’s Dialysis Center for their loving care.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Maria (Duda); children Sven Martin (Brandy) of Denver, Colorado, Renee McBride of Mount Washington, and Tamara Alkis (Michael) of Toronto, Canada; and grandchildren Lauren, Lydia, Tai, Pia and Nicholas.

A memorial service for Lynn will be held on Wednesday, June 18, at 11 a.m., at the Christian Assembly in Pittsfield. There will be no calling hours, and burial will be private.

A memorial service is planned at Roche Funeral Home in Lenox on Saturday, June 28, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at Mazzeo's Ristorante in Pittsfield.

Theresa Ann (Kot) Macchi, 98, of Great Barrington

A Funeral Mass for Theresa will be held on Saturday, June 14, at 10 a.m., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Saint Peter’s Church in Great Barrington, with Reverend William P. Murphy Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Saint Peter’s Cemetery.
