Sheffield — Mount Everett Regional School was in a lockdown on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
According to Julia Sabourin, Chief of Operations for the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office, the lockdown was due to a threat made by a student.
Local law enforcement, along with the Berkshire State Police Detective Unit responded to the school.
According to Sabourin, there is no further active threat to the Mount Everett Regional School community.
The District Attorney’s Office provided only a few details regarding this incident.
