Laura Jean Polzella, 63, of Sheffield

Together they shared many happy years that included their many friends, hiking, their favorite music and their pets, especially Lucky, her cat.

Laura Jean Polzella, 63, of Sheffield, passed away peacefully Oct. 24 at Berkshire Medical Center.

Born in Southington, Connecticut, Dec. 21, 1953, she was the daughter of Lawson and Betty Anderson Polzella. She attended both high school and college in Connecticut. She moved to the Berkshires many years ago to make a home with her life partner and soul mate, Barry Markham. Together they shared many happy years that included their many friends, hiking, their favorite music and their pets, especially Lucky, her cat. She also loved to swim.

She is not only survived by Barry, but also leaves her brother, Thomas Polzella, of Connecticut. She was predeceased by her parents.
