Lake Mansfield reopens for swimming

The town's Health Department shut the lake down to swimmers due to dangerous levels of E.Coli on July 24.

Great Barrington — In an email sent by the town on Thursday, Aug. 1, it was announced that Lake Mansfield has reopened for swimming.

Previously, the town’s Health Department shut the lake down to swimmers due to dangerous levels of E.Coli on July 24.

The email notes that Lake Mansfield was reopened for swimmers on Wednesday, July 31, and that “Town departments, staff, and volunteers collectively worked to make Lake Mansfield Beach a safe recreational area for swimming.
