Kevin Killackey, 62, of Lee

For most of his life, Mr. Killackey was in the paper-making business working for the former Westfield River Paper Company until its closure.

Kevin C. Killackey, 62, of Chapel Street in Lee died unexpectedly on Monday evening, February 5, 2018.

He was born Oct. 20, 1955, the son of the late Charles H. Killackey and Jean Adams Killackey of Lee. He was raised and educated in Lee and graduated from Lee High School. For most of his life, Mr. Killackey was in the paper-making business working for the former Westfield River Paper Company until its closure. Most recently he had worked at the Kindred Laurel Lake Center. Kevin was a quiet, hard-working man who, in his younger days, enjoyed fishing, nature and animals, and always loved visiting with his family and friends.

Besides his mother, Kevin leaves behind his two sons: Christopher and Eric, both of Otis; two brothers: Charles of Pittsfield and Shawn of Florida; two sisters: Colleen Newton and husband Roger of Lee, and Kathleen O’Leary and husband Thomas of Housatonic. Additionally, Kevin leaves behind his former wife, Jean Coty Killackey, and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 16, at 10 a.m. at the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. To leave a message of condolence or share pictures, visit www.kellyfuneralhome.net.
