Kelly L. Mercer, 53, of Pittsfield, formerly of Great Barrington

Kelly loved going to the movies and dining out with family and friends. She had a special place in her heart for children and animals.

Kelly Lee Mercer, 53, formerly of Great Barrington, Mass., passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at her home on Third St., in Pittsfield.

She was born on February 14, 1962 in Great Barrington, MA, the daughter of the late Harold Mercer and Rose Grahn Rider. She was a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School in Great Barrington.

Ms. Mercer worked in the kitchen at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington for many years.

Kelly loved going to the movies and dining out with family and friends. She had a special place in her heart for children and animals. She touched the hearts of all those who knew her and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sisters, Linda Lis of Great Barrington, Mass., and Holly Polchlopek and her husband Dave of Oviedo, Fla.,, her brother, Allan Mercer and his fiancé Leona Brazie of Sheffield, Mass., her sister-in-law, Pam Mercer, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Harold Mercer and Rose Grahn Rider, her brother, John C. Mercer, maternal grandparents, Anne Bernoi Grahn and Charles A. Grahn, paternal grandparents, Stanley Mercer and Evaleen Dean Mercer.

A service celebrating Kelly’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington, conducted by Rev. Charles VanAusdall. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Stockbridge.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 22nd from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Great Barrington.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Ann Church in Lenox, with Fr. CJ Waitekus officiating. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery. There will be calling hours from 9 to 10:15 a.m. in the church.

Nicholas Navarino, 90, of Waretown, N.J., formerly of Great Barrington

Navarino was a resident of Gt. Barrington for 16 years between 2004 and 2020.
