JUST IN: Lee Bank Foundation distributes $48,600 in third grant funding round of 2022

The Lee Bank Foundation has awarded grants to 16 organization totaling $48,600 in their third round of 2022 community funding.

Lee — In their third round of 2022 community funding, Lee Bank Foundation has awarded $48,600 to 16 organizations in the Berkshires in the form of grants to support their local programming ranging from $1,000 to $10,600 respectively.

The foundation was founded in 2021 and awarded a total of $228,610 in grants in its first year alone. The bank contributed an additional $84,000 in the form of sponsorships.

According to a press release sent to The Edge by the foundation, the awards also include “a series of Arts Access Grants for arts and culture organizations to expand access to programming for underserved audiences and Food Security Grants for organizations with a program focused on providing food to community members in need.”

The deadline to apply for the next round of 2022 funding from the foundation is December 1. Applicants must be a (501)(c)(3) nonprofit organization and applicants are only eligible for funding once in a 12-month period.

The Lee Bank Foundation specifies that requests for funding should reflect one of the foundation’s primary focus areas: education and literacy; food security and nutrition; economic growth and development; health and human services; mentorship, internship, and “school to work” initiatives; or arts and culture.
