Joy E. Fox, 92, of Lenox died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at home with her loving daughters by her side.
Born Nov. 4, 1925, in Moberly, Missouri, to the late William Anchitel and Ida Mae (Criss) Eldridge, she attended Moberly High School and was a 1943 graduate. After high school, Joy went to Chilicothe Business College in Denver, Colorado, where she majored in accounting. She worked as an accountant at Sherwin Williams in Minnesota and at other various bookkeeping positions. She and her late husband, Lawrence, were married Oct. 5, 1947, in Moberly. They had resided in Owatonna, Minnesota, for several years and had made their home in Lenox since 1979.
Mrs. Fox was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Lenox. She enjoyed travelling, golfing, bridge, and garden clubs in Minnesota. She enjoyed the Berkshires, the history of cottages, and loved driving through her beautiful Berkshires.
Mrs. Fox is survived by her daughters Sara A. Fox of Lenox and Monica L. Fox of Randolph, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Besides her husband and parents, Joy was predeceased by her son, Paul Gregory Fox, and her grandchildren Ryan C. Chevalier and Charlotte Fox.
Per Mrs. Joy E. Fox’s wishes, there will be no calling hours and her services will be private.
