Josephine Dellea, 103

Josephine moved to West Stockbridge as a child and was educated in West Stockbridge Schools. She later worked for Austin Riggs Center and West Stockbridge Village School.

Lenox — Josephine Dellea, 103, of Albany Road in West Stockbridge, died Thursday morning, November 6, 2014, at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center in Lenox.

She was born on September 21, 1911 in Cheshire, Mass., the daughter of Antonio and Laura Masnada Frana.

Josephine moved to West Stockbridge as a child and was educated in West Stockbridge Schools. She later worked for Austin Riggs Center and West Stockbridge Village School.

On August 22, 1931, she married Guy Dellea. He died on July 9, 1973.

She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church and a member of its Rosary Alter Sodality. She was known for her cooking and baking.

Mrs. Dellea is survived by two sons: Eugene A. Dellea of West Stockbridge and Guy F. Dellea of Pittsfield; two daughters: Christine L. Skorput of Lee and Cynthia Haywood of Interlaken; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by two brothers: Joseph Frana and Frank Frana and two sisters: Mary Tognalli and Theresa Selva.

At her request, services will be private for the family. Her family is very grateful to the staff at Kimball Farms for their compassionate and loving care that was given to their mother.
