Johnny (Farmer John) Sullivan, 62, of Westfield

John was active in 4-H and Ponies of America in his youth. He was a regular at the Northampton Co-op Livestock Auction and traveled the country as a horse show judge.

Johnny (Farmer John) Sullivan, 62, of Westfield, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2021 after suffering a heart attack.

John was born on January 22, 1959 in Northampton, Massachusetts to Betty Sullivan (Nanartonis) and the late John L. Sullivan, Jr. of Lenox. He grew up in Lenox and attended Lenox Public Schools. John was active in Berkshire County 4-H and P.O.A. (Ponies of America) in his youth. He was a regular at the Northampton Co-op Livestock Auction weekly and traveled the country during the summer months as a horse show judge.

Johnny is survived by his mother Betty of Lenox, his siblings Michael of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Linda and her husband John Powers of Connecticut, Bill of Lenox, Kelly and her husband Kent Mabry of Pittsfield, and his three nephews Curtis and Tyler Powers, and Brendan Sullivan. Johnny also leaves behind his Westfield family: Justin, Christine, and Charlie.

At a private service, Johnny was laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery in Lenox. Memorial donations in Johnny’s name may be made to Kelly Sullivan c/o Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240, to assist with care for Johnny’s animals.
