John Burley, OBE, 83, of Lenox

He was an adventurous man, a great bon viveur and will be missed by his family and many friends around the world.

It is with sadness that the family announces the death of John Burley, OBE, who died peacefully May 5 at his home in Lenox surrounded by his family.

Born March 6, 1936 in Leeds, England, John Stuart Burley was an adventurous man, a great bon viveur and will be missed by his family and many friends around the world.

He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Liz; father to Amanda and Jonathan; and grandfather to Isobel, Laughlin and Lily.

A memorial service will be held in the OBE Chapel, St Paul’s Cathedral, in the autumn, followed by a celebration of his life at the RAF Club.

A funeral service for Roberta 'Bobbie' Nussbaum will be held Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, conducted by Rabbi Barbara Cohen. Burial will follow at Ahavath Sholom Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

The funeral for Mr. Francis T. Duke will be held on Friday, May 16, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Church in Lenox, with Rev. Michael Tuck officiating. Burial will be private in Corashire Cemetery in Monterey. There will be no calling hours.
